Romania will provide consultancy regarding the modernization of Ecuador’s energy system
The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, Mr. Mihai Daraban, had, on March 5 this year, a series of working meetings with representatives of the central authorities of the Republic of Ecuador, in the person of the Vice President of the National Assembly ( Parliament of the Republic of Ecuador n.n.), Mr. Eckenner Reader Recalde Alava, and of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade within the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investments and Fisheries, Mr. Homero Larrea.
The two working meetings were organized because of the interest shown by the Ecuadorian officials regarding the involvement of the business environments of the two states in joint projects, according to the discussions held, the day before, at the Romania-Ecuador Business Forum.
“From the discussions held with the representatives of the Ecuadorian central authorities’ concrete opportunities were outlined regarding the involvement of the CCIR, as well as the Romanian business community, in providing consultancy for the development of two strategic economic fields for Ecuador, namely: the energy system and the transport industry. Regarding the modernization of the Ecuadorian energy system, we have established a program to continue the dialogue on this topic, as well as the subsequent technical stages. We have very good specialists in this field, some of them being part of the Romanian delegation that organized yesterday’s Business Forum, and I am convinced that they will find the optimal solutions so that syncopes in the Ecuadorian energy system will no longer occur. There are important steps that the CCIR, together with the representatives of the business environment, is taking for the internationalization of the Romanian business and for the recapture of the markets in Latin America”, said the president of the CCIR, Mr. Mihai Daraban.
