Greenvolt Group consolidates its European Strategy with Greenvolt Next Ireland, setting ambitious goals for the Irish renewables market

  • Formerly operating as Enerpower powered by Greenvolt, the Group’s Irish subsidiary will now operate under the name Greenvolt Next Ireland.
  • With this transition comes the reinforcement of the ambitious goals of Greenvolt Next Ireland, which targets 1GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
  • Building on two decades of leadership in decentralized renewable energy solutions, the company will maintain a key role in driving business decarbonization and supporting Ireland’s clean energy objectives.

Greenvolt Group, a global leader in renewable energy, announces today that its Ireland business, specialising in distributed energy solutions, Enerpower powered by Greenvolt, will now operate under the name Greenvolt Next Ireland.

Over the past twenty years, Enerpower has become a leading renewable energy company in Ireland, helping businesses across the country reduce their carbon footprint through designing, installing and maintaining renewable energy solutions such as solar installations, heat pumps, biomass boilers and wind power systems. With a portfolio of over 700 projects, a signed capacity of 300 MW, and 160 MW already installed, the company serves a client base that includes industry leaders such as PepsiCo, Lidl, Pfizer, and Virgin Media.

This step brings with it an even more ambitious commitment: to deliver 1GW of renewable energy by the end of the decade, thereby supporting Ireland’s national goal of sourcing 80% of its energy from renewable sources by 2030. To this end, Greenvolt Next Ireland draws on the Greenvolt Group’s extensive expertise in distributed energy solutions, which have increasingly taken a key position in the company’s growth strategy, already present in 12 markets in this segment, primarily in Europe but also in Indonesia.

João Manso Neto, CEO, Greenvolt Group says: “We are very pleased with what we have achieved following the acquisition of Enerpower, making this a natural and decisive step in reinforcing the Group’s commitment to the Irish market. Ireland is crucial to our business strategy, and with a strong client portfolio and a management team driven by unwavering focus and ambitious goals to deliver renewable energy to Irish businesses, I am confident about the future of Greenvolt Next Ireland”.

Owen Power, CEO, Greenvolt Next Ireland says: “This year marks twenty years since the business was founded and becoming Greenvolt Next at the same time makes this milestone particularly significant. I’m extremely proud of how the business has grown into a leading renewable energy company that is supporting Ireland’s efforts to decarbonise industry.

“When we joined Greenvolt Group, a new, exciting chapter began, opening up opportunities to collaborate and innovate with new colleagues across Europe. Now, as Greenvolt Next, we look forward to helping even more companies in Ireland reduce their carbon emissions and build a greener future.”

Supported by the pan-European platform of Greenvolt Group, Greenvolt Next offers decentralized renewable energy solutions, including photovoltaic systems for individual and collective self-consumption, energy efficiency, solar storage, and electric mobility, all backed by flexible financing options such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), ensuring businesses access to low-cost, predictable renewable energy without upfront investment.
