Hidroelectrica has signed contracts with the consortium formed by Hidroserv and UCMH for the modernization of the Vaduri, Remeți, and Arcești hydroelectric facilities. These projects are part of a comprehensive plan aimed at ensuring the sustainable and efficient operation of the company’s infrastructure, in accordance with the highest technological standards.
At the Vaduri Hydroelectric Plant, the contracted works involve the modernization of hydro unit number 2 (HA2), the 110 kV station, as well as the mechanical and electrical equipment associated with the plant and the dam. The base price of the contract is 79,196,442 lei, with an additional 7,823,304 lei allocated for miscellaneous and unforeseen expenses.
At the Remeți Hydroelectric Plant, Hidroelectrica has initiated the modernization of hydro unit number 2 (HA2), the 110 kV station, general installations, and the pressure node, including the Drăgan Dam. The base price of the contract is 144,868,245 lei, with an additional 14,388,433 lei allocated for miscellaneous and unforeseen expenses.
Additionally, at the Arcești Hydroelectric Plant, works will be carried out to modernize hydro unit number 2 and replace the automation and monitoring system associated with the internal services of hydro unit number 1. The contract has a base value of 82,390,687 lei.

Bogdan Badea, CIO of Hidroelectrica, also emphasized the importance of these projects for the company: “We are pleased to be able to carry out these works with a consortium formed by companies within our portfolio. The fact that we manage to perform complex tasks with internal resources strengthens our long-term market position and provides major premises for the future development of Hidroelectrica.”
Hidroelectrica is the most important electricity producer in Romania, managing 187 hydropower plants with a total production capacity of 6.3 MWh. The company significantly contributes to meeting Romania’s electricity needs and plays a crucial role in ensuring national energy stability and security. In addition to producing green energy, Hidroelectrica provides technological services for the National Energy System and operates a 108 MW wind farm at Crucea.
