Kilowat: The impact of the suspension of Casa Verde – the Romanians lost 12 million euros in the two months of blocking the Casa Verde program
Beneficiaries of the Casa Verde program lost 12 million euros in the two months the program was blocked, with consumers affected by not being able to install solar panels in time to avoid worrying about electricity bills this winter, warns Kilowat, one of the leading photovoltaic installation and consulting companies.
According to Kilowat’s calculations, the 87,000 beneficiaries of the Casa Verde program lose 6 million euros a month until the photovoltaic panels are installed, which will save them from their electricity bills. The Kilowat company warned the public about the losses caused by the blocking of the Casa Verde program, obtained by an installer from the market by acting in court, and publicly supported the unblocking of the program as quickly as possible, providing the authorities with all the necessary support.
“Due to the blocking of this program and the delay in the installation of photovoltaic panels, Romanians lose 6 million euros every month. And the beneficiaries will continue to pay this amount monthly, if they have not yet installed photovoltaic panels to provide the necessary energy in the households. Romanians want to get rid of this financial burden, to stop worrying about electricity bills and, therefore, to benefit from the advantages of photovoltaic systems as soon as possible, especially since they were affected and disappointed by the suspension of this program”, says Albert Soare, founder of Kilowat.
To analyze the financial impact of blocking the Casa Verde program, the Kilowat company took into account the number of beneficiaries (87,000) relative to an average monthly production of 500 Kw of a 5 Kw system and the average price of a kilowatt for domestic consumers (0, 7 lei), which leads to a monthly loss of 6.08 million euros.
The blocking of the Casa Verde program also has a negative impact on the businesses in the market, with significant losses, blocking money in stocks of photovoltaic panels for beneficiaries and additional unforeseen expenses to compensate for the losses.
At the same time, the Kilowat company made approaches to the public authorities to unlock the Green House program, considering that the beneficiaries were waiting for the installation of the solar panels as soon as possible.
Among Romanians, whether they are beneficiaries of the Casa Verde program or not, there is a growing interest in getting rid of electricity bills, especially since the amortization of the investment in solar panels can be recovered in 2-4 years.
The suspension of the Casa Verde Photovoltaic program, while it was ongoing, has a negative effect on the businesses in the field and the entire market, but especially on the final beneficiaries, the Romanians being “totally disappointed” by the blocking of the program and “distrustful” in its resumption this one.
The Romanians hoped to install photovoltaic panels this winter and thus get rid of the worries of electricity bills, but instead, there was a great fear regarding a possible resumption of the procedure for registering installers in the Green House program, an aspect that would postpone and more the whole process.
