Nearly 28,000 consumers were without electricity on Monday morning due to incidents that occurred overnight in the medium and low voltage networks, according to a press release from Romanian Minister of Energy sent to NINE O’CLOCK on Monday.

“Several incidents occurred overnight in the medium and low voltage networks. At this moment, the following figures show the number of consumers without power for each distribution operator: Electrica DEER (Galați – 2,960, Vrancea – 5,845, Buzău – 703, Brăila – 661), Delgaz Grid (Bacău – 3,478, Iași – 1,753, Neamț – 3,062, Vaslui – 1,524), PPC (Constanța – 3,377, Ialomița – 511, Călărași – 1,857), DEO (Dolj and Olt – 2,243). All intervention teams are fully mobilized and are working urgently and safely, depending on the weather conditions in the field, to restore power as quickly as possible. We have an energy command meeting at 11 a.m., and we will provide updated information,” wrote the Minister of Energy on his Facebook page.
